Peach State Sheltie Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit
organization. Our organization was started in August 2006 and as of August 2008 we have rescued 145 shelties. We are the newest
and fastest growing Sheltie Rescue in the Southeast and rapidly becoming the most respected. We rescue shelties
from Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and some areas of Tennessee.
All of our available shelties are
in private foster homes. We do not operate a facility. Our foster homes are all over the state of Georgia as well as some
in Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
All Shelties coming in to our program are immediately taken to a veterinarian
to be treated for any obvious medical condition, tested for heartworms and intestinal parasites, brought current on all shots
(including rabies), started on heartworm and flea preventative, spayed or neutered and placed in a loving Foster Home until
a suitable permanent home can be found. "Rescued" Shelties come in all ages, colors, sizes and personalities.
